- The Citadel | Mushroom Island
- Moved the failed squid farm to another section of warm ocean a bit farther inland with three small patches of warm ocean father away from the larger body of warm ocean that surrounds the mushroom island.
- Used soul sand bubble column to push the squid to the top, and funnel them with water streams into a row of hoppers where they suffocate, and die.
- It’s not the most efficient. Not all squid are caught. Rates are about four ink sacs per hour due to low spawns, and incomplete spawn removal.
- Axolotls would be the preferred simple method to kill squid but because of the warm ocean biome puffer fish spawn, and the axolotls don’t survive the pokey conflict.
- If the farm is revisited the soul sand bubble columns would be replaced with alternating water columns and air drops to kill the squid.

- Took a stream to do some planning, focusing on sorting out a central nether portal location on the nether side, and seeing if the corresponding overworld location is desirable. (It’s not.)
- During the planning process clear cut some mushrooms from the mushroom island to provide more of a blank canvas.
- Took the opportunity to also set up an mini auto-crafter to turn the copious amount of mushroom blocks into white dye, which will be needed to make grey dye.

SUBJECT: Twisted Warden?
Hello Pix and Joel!!
Do you think the name “Twisted Warden” serves as a clue? We already have something twisted (and cyan) in Minecraft… The twisted vines! Do you think there is a connection between the twisted vines of The Nether, and the Twisted Warden of the upcoming Minecraft Dungeons II?
Thor_of_Asgaard entered the portal in the Ancient city and… found a Warped forest??

Hi Pix and Joel!
After listening to Episode 413 on The End rings, your discussion of stronghold generation reminded me of another way they generate in Bedrock Edition. There, three strongholds will spawn under a village approx 453 blocks away from world spawn. Would tying villages and strongholds together be a feature you two would want to bring to Java Edition?
Love the show!
PilotNinja172 died to an iron golem while trying to find a stronghold.

SUBJECT: Stripped Mushrooms
Hello!
I was watching fWhip’s latest video where he was rebuilding his ten year old desert city, and it got me thinking about the current player ability to strip the surface layer off of logs, and wax or age from copper. Do you think that players should be able to strip mushroom blocks? It might be a more modern way to get an older texture.
Love to hear your thoughts.
I am too tired to come up with a good closing message. Sorry! I’d still love to hear your thoughts.

SUBJECT: Golems
Hi Jonny and Joel!
The other day I was thinking about how much additional golems could add to the ambiance of Minecraft worlds. What do you think of a Redstone Golem? It could have a trail of redstone dust is placed along its arms and shoulders. When powered by something nearby it would go into a “T pose”, and become a redstone powered bridge. Alternatively, a redstone block could be placed at its chest and it would put out a random redstone frequency at random times.
What ideas do you guys have for golems?
Benjamin died walking on his Redstone Golem bridge without powering it on.
