- The Citadel | Mushroom Island
- Finished the exterior midsection design on the command center to the best of my creativity right now.
- Not crazy about the large, purple 5×2 grid of frontlights at the base. Will have to revisit in future.
- Still feel like it’s missing something, but waiting to see if inspiration hits once the exterior landscape is worked on.
- Current idea is a neon grid inspired by Tron.

- Completely removed the partially built fifth level on the top of the command center. It felt unnecessary, and without it the building has a better silhouette.
- The also didn’t affect the design inside the landing bay very much.

- The Minecraft Survival Guide, Season 3
- Now the world has been on Hard difficulty for a month or two, it was time to fully zombify, and cure all of the villagers in the trading hall.
- In terms of personal trading loops, this mainly affects how much iron is spent acquiring emeralds, and how cheap glowstone, golden carrots, etc. become.
- The next step is to set up an easy spot to acquire the ‘Hero of the Village’ effect to lower some trades even further – like bookshelves, the more expensive enchanted books, rotten flesh, etc.

- Feeling the need to get back into building. Building can be hard to fit into a tutorial series. There hasn’t been structure work for a while in the Survival Guid world.

SUBJECT: My Chests Match My Front Door
Hello!
I was listening to Episode 405 and there was a question about doors, and allowing the player to switch out wood types. I think chests should act similarly to how doors, and trapdoors act currently. The wood type would dictate the color, and the design of the chest. At minimal the color. The current chest could easily remain in the game when a player uses multiple wood types to make a chest, using 7 oak planks, and 1 spruce plank for example.
What are your thoughts?
Cinqo logged off in his new bedroom, imagining how good a dark oak ottoman would look at the foot of his bed.

SUBJECT: Continuing To Discuss Owls
Bassfiend joined the world.
Hello gents!
I was inspired by the conversation about owls from Hannah’s email in Episode 402. What if there was a mechanic to domesticate owls, and keep them around bases like cats? Instead of scaring off hostile mobs though, they could – when ‘perched’ near a crafting or enchanting table – give a ‘wisdom’ buff that could reveal unknown recipes or one of the extra enchantments available at max level.
Thanks for all the work you put into the show!
Bassfiend left the world.

SUBJECT: Poplar Biome Customization
Dear Joel and Pix,
The reddish grass tint in the new poplar biome looks fantastic! So much so that I find myself wishing it could bring those colors back home to my base.
Do you think it could be time for Minecraft to introduce an official way to alter some of the biomes in our worlds? This could allow for things like custom swamps with murky water, removal of pesky snow problems, or just bringing a beautiful biome tint to the area around a build.
What ideas come to mind for implementing such a feature?
Sage died from thinking too much about the color of grass.
Thanks to our top patrons!
