- It took the week to finish up the sub floor power conduit designs of the main floor of the command center.
- Still undecided between a 5 block wide conduit, and a 7 block wide conduit.
- For now the North and South conduits are 7 blocks wide, and the East and West conduits are 5 blocks wide. So at least the overall design is symmetrical.
- Added in some yellow concrete blocks on the floor to fill space, and accent of the honey block elevators.
- Still unsure about additional floor pot light depth.

SUBJECT: Wood Biome Compasses
Hey Spawn Chunks,
With new forests coming into the game, there is more you must explore to get all wood types. I like having all the wood types in early game Minecraft, but to get rarer woods like pale oak it is difficult to find them without external tools like Chunkbase. Since dappled forests will be a decently rare biome to find it will probably make the situation worse. I think Mojang should implement a way to find these woods in game.
One solution could be to add a “forest compass” to the game that works like an eye of ender but always breaks, and leads you to the nearest biome of that type – e.g. A Spruce compass leads you to the nearest spruce biome. – This would be like the “/locate” command for survival. To craft this item, you would need 8 logs of that type of forest, and a compass in the middle. You would get the logs from either the starting chest, wandering trader sapling trade, or wandering trader log trade. These would be single use but since they are on the surface, you can just walk straight in the line it points you to.

SUBJECT: Transplanting Biomes
Hello Pix and Joel,
Waaay back in Spawn Chunks Ep. 410, you had a discussion about transplanting biomes. I’m not familiar with the technical aspects behind blocks, but it seems to me there is a possible solution to this. Add a data value to each grass block to store its original biome. If dug up normally it becomes a dirt block as usual and the biome data is lost. But if dug with a silk touch shovel it keeps its biome data. And when “planted” in another biome, it keeps its biome coloring, etc. (Yes, I know, more inventory management but that’s the cost of terraforming.)
This allows for expansion. For example, if a poplar tree were planted in another biome surrounded by eight “dappled forest” grass blocks, it would be a red / orange / yellow tree. Otherwise, it would be a “normal” shade of green tree according to whatever biome it is in.
Player YerOldMan lived happily travelling through different biomes.
