- Spent the week completing the roof, bulkheads, and observation deck of Level 3 of the south wing of the command center.
- Back tracked to all four wings adding missing design features, and sci-fi console designs.
- Experimenting with a few variations, and console positions. Redstone components were too big, and clunky, so stuck with pressure plates, and buttons of various neutral textures that went with the quartz slab console design.

- Working on an area that can highlight the Tiny Takeover changes. Specifically keeping baby animals around with the golden dandelion.
- Trying to model this new area after the way grazing fields are maintained in the UK with a mix of dry stone walls, and fences.
- Made a decent fit for the area below the floating island shipwreck where crops are already being grown, and some of the features from Spring To Life are showcased.
- Still very much a work in progress with plans to add shelters, lean-tos, food, and water troughs, and probably a chicken coop. Potentially even a farmhouse with a barn.
- Progress continues to be made in the Copper Aging Facility beacon mine.

SUBJECT: My Netherwart Overflows
Hey Jonny, and Joel!
I wanted to write in with something that I’ve thought about a lot in Minecraft when it comes to building. One block that I love using is nether brick, both the original, and the red. I love to use them in roofs, but also as accents, and decoration… What I’m not a fan of is the recipe.
I’d really like to see Mojang change the red nether brick block recipe to use full nether wart blocks. I think this would be more affordable in the long run as you can obtain so much nether wart from harvesting fungi trees. This still leaves the recipe craftable through regular nether wart, though a little more costly in that regard, and leaves regular nether wart more available for potion brewing.
I’d also love to see the addition of a blue/cyan/turquoise variant of nether brick to go with warped nether wart. I think the contrast would be amazing, and very striking! (I just like warped blocks in general.) Plus this would give us a use for all the warped nether wart, and I think it’s overdue to have the Enderman’s face on a chiseled block.
What do you guys think?
PS – Love the show, you guys rock.

SUBJECT: Sawmill Work Station And Trades
Hi Pix, and Joel!
When the change to the Librarian villager’s master trade was recently discussed on the show, I started thinking harder about a potential work station that has been brought up in the community lately, a sawmill. I think a work station that acts just like a stonecutter, but for wood, would be well received by players. However, I’m unsure of what a woodcutter villager should trade. Wandering traders already have saplings, and wood types covered. Maybe they could make carved wood blocks with patterns like the chiseled bookshelves? Maybe add new sap types besides resin? Do you have any other thoughts about what this villager could trade?

SUBJECT: Jade And Other Stones
Hello Pixlriffs, and Joel!
I listen to this podcast with my partner, and we loved the idea of jade being available as a green building stone, especially considering the wide range of jade colors that exist in nature on top of jade being a dyeable stone.
My partner told me a block idea he’s had for a while: white opal as a building blockset (walls/stairs/slabs/etc) that has a subtle enchanted color sheen on it, and an extra-shiny polished set. You’d find it at the bottom of underwater ravines or maybe in very low lush caves because that’s how it naturally forms. The chiseled block would have a nautilus shell design on the side. I would expand it with a blue opal set with the same rules. I think the blue opal chiseled block would have a trident motif on the side, and a drowned or guardian on the ends, and could be placed directionally like a log or chiseled quartz block.
Thanks for all your work on this podcast!

SUBJECT: Mojang Updates And Vulcan
Hello!
Since Mojang announced smaller updates to prevent team burnout, many of the game additions, while fun and good, have felt incomplete. Maybe I am being too harsh in my criticism but to me they feel like they should belong to something larger.
The latest announcement from Mojang about moving to the Vulkan graphics API has re-energized my hope for the game. Many of the additions in the updates are primarily technical and (sometimes very old) bug fixes. This feels like Mojang is renewing, and making real their commitment to the long term health of the game.
To me, it feels like these smaller updates are merely the appetizers to tide us over while the main course cooks in the back. This latest Vulkan Announcement feels bigger than the attention it’s getting. It has me excited for not just a potential actual game changing update, but also renewed attention, and commitment to us, from Mojang.
Steve died to a Creaking in his own base, while tinkering with Copper Golems to filter out Firefly Bushes, and listening to Lava Chicken, all while grumbling IRL about “Lazy Mojang Developers.”
