- The Citadel | Sci-fi Mushroom Island
- Slow going this week on the command center, so it doesn’t feel like there has been much progress visually.
- Filled in the east wing of the command center with the panel design that’s been established over the last few weeks.
- Slow going with the happy ghast, but a little bit faster just copying the existing design, rather than iterating, and coming up with something new.

- Command Center East Wing Progress (YouTube.com/JoelDugganVODs)
- Attempting to revamp the mid section of the command center. Progress came later in the week so it’s still very much a work in progress.
- The up-lighting is working, but there needs to be more depth, and detail which is challenging on an angled wall.

- Mirroring The Command Center Mid Section – Part 1 (YouTube.com/JoelDugganVODs)
- Started mirroring the design of the ground level bay doors.
- Filled in the east wing of the command center with the panel design that’s been established over the last few weeks.
- Outside of the command center some large chunks of mycelium near the base of the structure have been removed to get a better feel for how it will sit in the environment. The mycelium may, or may not be staying in, and around the command center.
- Slow going this week on the command center, so it doesn’t feel like there has been much progress visually.

- Luckily, the methods Lars showcased don’t involve TNT at all. The methods are based on a redstone clock, pioneered by a player named Carbsna.
- In addition to getthing through the bedrock in The Nether, there is now a 3×3 hole through bedrock in the Overworld. No real use for it on The Survival Guide, but it evokes ‘secret base’ ideas with happy ghasts for accessibility.

SUBJECT: Simple Furniture Flavour
Hiya,
Love the show.
A simple solution to seating could be a wool slab block, that allow the player to sit on top when the slab is in either the upper or lower slab placement. 16 colours, and it would still require the player to build the rest of the seat.
To add further flavour with the furniture items we already have, what about allowing the player to add banner patterns to beds, or adding armour trims to shields (Banners don’t transfer well), and adding armour trims to weapons, and tools to add a splash of colour to our items. It would be easier to identify my items with say a purple silk touch pickaxe, and a yellow fortune pickaxe.
Thanks for putting on a great show each week,
Jess

What’s On Our Minecraft Christmas List?
What new blocks, new items, or new Minecraft game features would Joel, and Jonny want Mojang to send down the chimney? Joel’s list focuses on bringing more modern, or even futuristic aesthetics to Minecraft, while Jonny would like to add more life to builds with animated blocks, and textures, and control environmental effects.
