  • The Citadel | Mushroom Island
    • Shulker Farm
      • Built a shulker shell farm design by The Archivists on YouTube that uses snow golems to agro a single shulker, triggering the vanilla shulker duplication of the mob into the farms platforms.
      • Shulkers multiply, and are held in two teleport locations at the top of the farm, where they eventually entity cram, and start dropping shulker shells.

      • Mushroom Island Shulker Farm – Part 2 (YouTube.com/JoelDugganVODs)
      • it looks like the farm is producing between 1500, and 1700 shulker shells per hour, for the one hour it was activated.
        • The Citadel has the Double Shulker Shells data pack from Vanilla Tweaks which always drops two shulker shells per shulker.
    • Glow Ink Farm
      • Built a basic water tank glow squid farm in the lush cave under the mushroom island following the basic spawn rules for glow squid, spawning below Y level 30, and in light level 0.
      • it’s a slow, temporary build that uses magma blocks in the base of the tank to suck the glow squid down to the bottom where they take damage, and die. A hopper minecart runs back, and forth collecting the drops.
      •  Lush Cave Creeper Farm (And Glow Squid Farm) – Part 1 (YouTube.com/JoelDugganVODs)
    • Creeper Farm
      • Started a single slice of a creeper farm that uses snow golems to agro the creepers into falling in to trapdoor traps.
      • The location in the lush cave is solid, but the block palette, and final exterior design is still a work in progress.

SUBJECT: Opportunity To Improve Mounts

Hello Joel and Jonny

I think the Mounts of Mayhem would be a perfect opportunity to improve existing mounts.

I’ve always had a gripe with saddled horses wandering around when being left by the player! In my experience a horse is fully capable of standing still while being in “work mode”. For Minecraft that could simply mean that putting a saddle on a horse would be like telling a dog to sit.

(The fact that we can make cats sit in Minecraft, and not have horses stand still is insane to me.)

If you want your horse to roam around in a pasture just take the saddle off like you would with an actual horse.

There are other small things with horses that could be improved – like riding up stairs for example – but this one thing is my main issue.

Pretend you use horses; what would you want approved with the mounts we already have?

Anima happily relives her childhood with actually trained horses.

Thanks to our top patrons!
