  • The Minecraft Survival Guide, Season 3
    • Decided to get all the music discs not yet acquired on The Survival Guide.
      • Tears was very easy to get, and all the discs from loot chests, and trial chambers had been picked up – so skeletons shooting creepers was the remaining solution.
      • Decided to use the method where a skeleton shoots TNT with a flaming arrow, and it blows up a bunch of creepers. First things first, build a quick creeper/spider farm with a mob sorter!
      • At this point only disc remaining is Lava Chicken thanks to the illusiveness of chicken jockeies.
        • Leaving this last disc to just happen naturally at some stage.

Hi Pix, and Joel!

I’ve been listening to the show since right before the Chase The Skies drop, and it has been a great listen during my commute to work. It’s nice to get weekly news updates on Minecraft, as it’s been a while since I’ve picked up the game. The new mannequin entity is really cool. I’ve seen so many mods over the years implement similar “NPCs”, so it’s nice to have them in the base game.

One thing that came to mind about mannequins is that it would be cool to be able to specify “behaviours” for them so they can do more than just stand around. I was thinking of being able to assign them the pathfinding, and behaviour of other mobs, so they could chase the player like a Zombie or wander around like a villager! It’d give life to these entities, and can open the door to adding life to creative builds, filled with “players” running around.

Interested to hear what your thoughts are on the idea!

G’day Pix, and Joel!

In the most recent episode, Joel mentioned the quality of life improvements to sound sliders. My question is, am I the only one that cares more specifically about how incredibly loud it is when you eat food in game?! It would be nice if we could turn sounds up or down on specific player actions.

Let me know your thoughts!

Wakejilliams was killed by a Warden when he went deaf from eating a potato, and couldn’t hear the shrieker.

Predictions For Minecraft Live September 2025

Jonny, and Joel analyze the last year of Minecraft Drops, starting with Bundles Of Bravery, and what would become The Garden Awakens announced at Minecraft Live September 2024, and make predictions on a potential drop schedule for the remainder of the year, as well as what new game features they think – and hope – will be included.

Here is a look back at last year’s episode just ahead of Minecraft Live September 2024.
