- This week saw the final bits of landscaping going into the Westhill Valley with some empty green spaces filled in, and extra paths between the farms.

- Started roughing out the distillery space in the basement of the Westhill Keep. Very much a work in progress, but there appears to be space to recenter the room, keep the existing entrances – even the secret ones – and incorporate a wet basement drain that connects the east end of the moat to the big bend in the Westhill river to the south.

SUBJECT: From Modded Mayhem To Vanilla Vibes
Hello Pix, and Joel
I’ve been a listener for a while now, and just wanted to say how much I enjoy the podcast. Your conversations, insights, and the way you talk about Minecraft with such thoughtfulness have had a big impact on how I play the game.
When I first got into Minecraft, it was through modpacks like RLCraft, and AllTheMods — fast-paced, quest-driven experiences with constant progression and pressure. It was fun, but often felt chaotic. After listening to The Spawn Chunks, and watching creators like both of you, and the Hermitcraft crew, I decided to give vanilla Minecraft a go.
Now I’m hooked. Slowing down, building with purpose, and just letting the world grow around me has been unexpectedly satisfying. One of my favorite projects right now is a fantasy-themed cliffside base. It’s taken a while to plan, and build, but that slower pace has made the whole process way more enjoyable — and seeing it come together piece by piece has been really rewarding.
My question for you both is: as professional Minecraft creators, how has your own play style changed over time? Were there moments or shifts that made you approach the game differently?
Thanks again for what you do — your passion really shows.
Cheers,
D1rkPitt died trying to elytra into a build… but forgot the build wasn’t finished yet.
Thanks to our top patrons!

Copper’s Back On The Menu!
With copper now sharing many similarities to iron in the latest snapshot Joel, and Jonny discuss if copper could bring new functional blocks to Minecraft as well. What could a copper hopper offer? Could copper rails speed up contraptions? How much coal could a copper hopper mine cart haul if I copper hopper mine cart could haul coal? Some of these ideas are just drops in the copper bucket.
