- The Citadel | Westhill
- This week has been more work along the west bank of the Spruce River, which is now about half way to being done.
- It’s not challenging work, but it is a bit repetitive. Attempting to break up the repetition by with some key, custom details along the edge of the river, so the cliffs act as more of a backdrop.
- Wading through tall grass, and tall ferns on cliffs, trying to fill empty areas is hard on the eyes.
- Adding some extra spruce trees has really helped break up the wall of mint green grass along the cliffs.
- Was trying to push to have Westhill finished in July – which won’t happen – but I feel I can confidently say that the project will wrap up in August!

SUBJECT: Two Block High Copper Chests
What if copper double chests were vertical instead of horizontal? This could help simplify the segmented copper golem system, where each golem has a series of chests to sort into, with the last chest emptied by a hopper. A two-high chest could receive an input from that hopper, one block lower than the chests, and then make it available to the next golem while keeping all of the chests at the same height. This would eliminate the need for a vertical dropper, and comparator system, and further reduce the necessary redstone complexity for sorting systems.
It could even be a different recipe – two matching copper chests with a carved pumpkin on top, and become linked to the generated golem only. If you break the chest, the associated golem perishes, and only the standard copper chests drop, so you need to be somewhat careful where you’re placing it. The pairing of chests, and particular golems has been requested, and this could give a way to acquire them.
Nerdartist was pinched to death for not coming up with a better death message.

Howdy!
I jumped straight into a Bedrock world to test out building with the new shelf blocks, and it is exciting stuff! Immediately I thought of how the shelf can be used for signs using banners. I’ve attached a screen shot of my version of a marquee I whipped up.
Do you guys have any unexpected ideas on how to use shelves besides as a shelf?

Stacking Up Uses For The Shelf
Joel, and Jonny break down the functionality of the new Minecraft shelf, exploring the addition to inventory management, hot-swapping hot bars, and other gameplay applications. The new shelf – which comes in all wood types – also has a lot of decorative applications, especially when displaying specific items, or blocks.
