    • Finished up the bee farm, which is the last farm to be built in the Westhill Valley.
      • Added a mix of bee hives, and flower beds, with lots of details like coral, pink petals, and wildflowers.
      • Tried to use moss, green concrete powder, and azalea saplings to make the grass between hives look like it was trampled down.
      • Added some extra bits like oak pressure plates, ladders, spruce buttons, stripped oak bases, and oak trap doors to some of the hives to reduce the repetition of having so many in one space.

Minecraft News

  • In the Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.7 release article, (Minecraft.net) Mojang mentioned that they would “be back with the next (Java) snapshot in a few weeks.”
    • It’s only been just two weeks from the release of 1.21.7. A new Java Edition snapshot could potentially be coming next week, or the week after.

SUBJECT: Chest Filters

Long time Patron, first time caller. Thanks for everything you do!

I love the new copper golems, and I can’t wait to see them come to Java!

The biggest issue I see is a chest filling up, and the copper golem not having anywhere to put more stuff. But adding a hopper under a chest, and keeping “filtered” items in it involves making a similar redstone circuit as what you would need for a regular item filter anyway. And if that’s the case, then it’s for someone already familiar with redstone who could just use hoppers, and filters.

I would love to see some kind of “filter” option added to chests natively. Like, adding a button to the recipe for the chest, that would allow you to add items to a new chest UI that are allowed in that chest without needing redstone to lock the hoppers below it. It’s not 100% intuitive for new users, but potentially easier than redstone item filters.

WildWestDan was stuffed into an unfiltered chest by a copper golem…

SUBJECT: Additional Mob Vote Mobs

Hello Pix, and Joel,

With the addition of the copper golem, albeit changed from the original design for the mob vote, do you think Mojang might consider adding in other past mob vote contestants? Looking back at all of the contestants – The glare, crab, penguin, rascal, etc. – which would be the one you would want added next?

Lizasaurous13 didn’t die mining because she had some angry lettuce (a Glare) reminding her to place torches.

Thanks to our top patrons!
