    • Skill tree progress thanks to a few discoveries:
      • Lapis Lazuli blocks are worth a lot of XP.
      • Cut Copper is worth the same as Copper blocks, which means you can get four times the value for copper by using the stonecutter!
      • You can also unlock extra XP for completing each level.
    • Got ambushed by a challenge level – a kind of wave survival mode – with no way of making equipment, which was a setback.
      • Equipment can be unlocked from the skill tree, so that will be prioritized next time.

SUBJECT: Creeper Variants

Hi Pixlriffs, and Joel,

I believe that the Spring To Life update had a chance of being even better with creeper variants. The most common hostile mobs have variants such as the zombies, skeletons, and spiders, however the creeper has none. I believe Mojang could make a leaf litter type creeper knowing Notch said they are made of leaves. This could be a mob found in all types of forests.

All in all I believe creepers could get a bit more love.

SUBJECT: Lead To Victory

Howdy Pix and Joel,

The newest snapshot just came out, and there have been a lot of changes to the lead. There are a lot of amazing changes that I’m really happy about; however, there are some I’m not a big fan of, such as firework boosts automatically breaking the lead. I was hoping they would actually make leads stronger, and allow for firework boosts to keep the lead attached. So, I was a bit unenthused they went the opposite route.

I would love to get your thoughts on this, and ask if there have been changes made in the past that have felt similar to you?

Much love,

CurtisDoesADig

SUBJECT: Suspicious Ghasts

Hello!

I was listening to Episode 343, and had a thought to make the dried ghasts less of an abrupt change. What if there was suspicious soul sand or soul soil buried around the fossil structures, which has a fairly high chance of dropping a dried ghast. Maybe other drops could be similar to Piglin bartering or some other soul, or ghast related items. This can relate the happy ghast to the ancient civilizations through archaeology like the sniffer, rather than just appearing randomly in the Soul Sand Valley. Or, add lore to the fossils making them remains of a parent to the dried ghast, which is why it imprints on you when you rehydrate it.

Thoughts?

SUBJECT: What Makes A Modern Block

Hi Pix, and Joel

While listening to Episode 340 I had to wonder what could be made available in an End update with the assumption that it could be blocks that would lend themselves better to modern, and scifi blocks. I thought these blocks could be like petrified trees, and function like copper as other metals that could be used decoratively.

What do you think makes a block suitable for a modern, or sci-fi build? With the native Vibrant Visual shaders announced at Minecraft Live we can now look at whether new blocks could actually be made to look metallic and shiny, or dull which could be an interesting new angle to think about vanilla builds.

Uloncl blew up trying to chisel an interesting pattern into an adamantium tree.
