SUBJECT: Unique Block Sounds
Hi Pix, and Joel!
I have recently been farming a lot of the new pale oak wood, and I am looking forward to using it in future build projects. However, as I was chopping down the trees I noticed that the default wood breaking sound doesn’t quite suit the wood.
Due to their creepy, dead-looking appearance, I think it would be a good idea to have the logs sound much more brittle than they do currently. Mojang has already done this with cherry, and bamboo wood, giving them interesting breaking sounds that suit the logs, and they have already shown that they are willing to change old sounds by updating the cobweb sounds.
Do you think it would be a good idea to apply more unique sound effects to new blocks, or are you satisfied with the current ones?
Love the podcast!
Finn got killed by the creaking because he was too preoccupied wondering why those creepy trees sounded so basic.

Pale Gardening
Jonny discusses his experience in Minecraft 1.21.4 exploring the Pale Garden so far, gathering resources, and setting up a hefty resin farm. While The Garden Awakens drop has yet to hit The Citadel server, Joel is preparing for the update, tracking a few key performance mods, and making plans for his own pale garden resource gathering adventure.
