      • This phase really helps things feel substantial, and less like a line work drawing.

      • The “utility belt” bundle now holds workstations.

      •  A bundle has been worked into each of the themed shulker boxes currently in rotation.
        • For example, the redstone box has a bundle for leftover components.

SUBJECT: Resin: A Sticky Situation

Hi Joel, and Pix!

My friend, and Iwere talking about the new resin coming to the winter drop and we came up with some feedback we wanted to share.

First of all, we think the resin in general is too orange – the color is okay, but we think it would benefit from some more yellow in the texture. Second, we don’t think the brick texture looks very good. With the bright orange color, the texture looks too busy, and  we think the normal stone brick layout would look better. and clearer.

Also, the process of smelting the resin clump into its brick version is a little strange. We had an idea for a different result of smelting it. What if you would craft four resin clumps into four resin bricks, but if you smelted a resin clump you got sap? Sap would be craftable into a block of sap, which would be sticky like slime, and honey blocks. However, if you walked onto it, you would sink slowly in and you would move slower, like a cobweb. If your head was in it, you would suffocate. If you fell or sprinted on it, though, it would be solid but eliminate fall damage. It would also give you the “sticky” effect for a couple seconds, which would decrease walking, mining, and attacking speed by a slight amount.

Smelting the resin clump would give you sap, which you could brew into a potion of stickiness. This would be an interesting feature for Minecraft, as there aren’t really any blocks that give you a potion effect.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this idea, and if you think this would fit in the vanilla game. Thanks for taking the time to read this email!

Best,

GhostOfNoch suffocated in a block of sap whilst trying to escape Creaking, and his friend was shocked to death at the sight of the original resin bricks.
