- Satisfactory
- Satisfactory has once again dominated my stream, and game time this week. However, I noticed some similarities between Satisfactory, and Minecraft in the bottleneck both games have when you reach the need to set up, and organize a storage area.
- There are similarities to how Satisfactory, and Minecraft approach facilitating the organization of player storage, and player inventory, but there are also some quality of life differences because of the different game themes.

- Spent some time in the latest snapshot in Creative mode exploring the Pale Garden biome, and seeing how the new pale oak wood blocks pair with other blocks in the game.

- Minecraft Fantasy SMP
- Broadcast the last few streams from Fantasy SMP this week. The focus was on finishing as much as possible on the Necromansion.
- Happy with the exterior, though there wasn’t time for a full interior design, there are some fun details, and a basic structure. There may be some casual off-stream tinkering with it in the future.
- Traveled to some unusual places on the server to get building materials. The Deeper & Darker mod had just the right material for ceiling tiles.

Hey Jonny, and Joel!
I really love the new Pale Garden biome. Although I do agree with Joel’s feeling of it not being too unique at the moment, with only the saturation, and texture changed from a dark oak forest.
The creaking and its new mechanics got me thinking. There is an opportunity for a huge fan service to Minecrafts player base, that also matches the mood of the biome by adding Creaking Crickets, particles, and fireflies.
Maybe players could use either the silk touched creaking heart, or a rare item, that drops when the creaking heart is mined without silk touch. Maybe with a drop rate similar to an apple dropped from oak trees. So, not common.
This new created “Creaking Bud” (or sprout) aims to look like an unripe version of the creaking heart. Where it’s not fully formed, it can only spawn particles, but nothing more. I would love to have a comeback version of fireflies, or any glowing particle!
Maybe this time – since the Pale Garden is a fully fantasy biome, and has no real world counterpart – there is no problem with some mob’s food safety.
What way of obtaining / restrictions / benefit would make this sprout feel balanced for you, Jonny and Joel?
I’m very curious about your thoughts.
Creaking Greetings,

SUBJECT: Pale Gardens And Fireflies
Hello, Pix and Joel,
I really like the new Pale Gardens biome Mojang announced this year. I listened to your feedback on the podcast last week, and I also think there’s not much to entice players into the biome, other than the resources.
My suggestion would to finally add fireflies into the Pale Garden. Mojang said they used willow trees, and Spanish moss as inspiration for the biome, and fireflies are found in the real world in those ecosystems, so it would make sense.
Catching fireflies in a bottle to take back home sounds like a lot of fun. (Also there’s no frogs in a Pale Garden).
The only hitch I found to my idea is that the biome is meant to be serene, and I’m not certain fireflies help achieve that effect.
LandedPuma looked away from the creaking to catch a firefly.
