- The Citadel is now running 1.21
- The first stream of Tricky Trials was spent roaming around the server gathering landscaping resources for Westhill, and looking for opportunities to implement the crafter in existing community farms.

- Fixing The Citadel Iron Farm
- Inspecting the server iron farm for an opportunity to use the crafter revealed that the farm needed to be re-built entirely!
- The solution was to raise the iron golem spawning platform high enough to be out or range of the surrounding landscape. This also meant raising the panicking villagers, and Scary Stephen, (the zombie) their grumpy neighbour.
- Queue a marathon stream attempting to wrangle villagers, raise the dead (higher), and re-learn how to design an iron farm with the new game mechanics around villages, and iron golem spawning.

The problem with JIRA bug closing is that is has a very blunt communication without addressing in what context the bug is fixed… You don’t have anything to worry about in terms of things suddenly breaking or anything… Hard to explain without more detail, but yeah, just wait. 🙂” – Kingbdogz

RE: Wood Resource Gathering Ep. 309
Hey Jonny, and Joel,
I have always liked the idea of adding a new woodworker villager, and woodcutter workstation. Most of the people I see advocating for this addition just say they want a wood cutting version of the stonecutter, and don’t flesh out the idea further. I would implement the woodcutter workstation as it is typically described, and would add the woodworker villager with the following trade pool. (Image below)
Some key features of this woodworker villager could include:
- No desert villager variant. (There aren’t many trees in a desert.)
- The ability to buy exotic saplings to help the player obtain rare wood types earlier in the game.
- A renewable source of wood that doesn’t involve mining.
- The logs, and emeralds trade allows the player to “pay” the woodworker to strip the logs. Which can be tedious to do manually.
- A new chiseled wood block as I feel we lack ornate wood blocks, and have many chiseled stone variants.
I am interested to hear what you guys have to say about the idea!

SUBJECT: Episode 309 Renewable Sand Discussion
In Episode 309 you were talking about renewable sand. I have heard these conversations before, but this time I had an idea I wanted to share.
Could Mojang:
- Make sand dyeable?
- Add black sand to the Nether?
- Add black sand to Piglin trading?
Or, perhaps add purple sand with an End update, along with a new mob in the End to trade with?
With the crafter in the game you could automate the dying process at a piglin trading farm, and have sand piling up for whenever you need.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Brian faded off into the desert sunset (alive) while gathering sand.
Thank you to our Patrons!

Mindful Minecraft Modding In Tricky Trials
With The Citadel updating to 1.21 this week, and Jonny starting on MythicalSausage’s Fantasy Minecraft server, Joel, and Jonny take the opportunity to chat about the more focused mod expectations on The Citadel compared to mod exploration, organization, and discovery in the much larger Fantasy Minecraft modpack.
