SUBJECT: Influencing Baby Villagers

Hey Jonny, Joel, and Ulraf,

I was listening to Episode 290, (Superflat Chat With Mogswamp) and the topic of biome-specific villagers came up. This feature was mentioned as problematic for players limited to a single biome.

I think that it would be interesting if baby villagers checked their surrounding blocks to decide their villager type. For example, the presence of Jungle logs or leaves could turn a baby villager into a jungle villager, even in a plains biome. Without these blocks around, the biome would be the default for determining villager type.

In regular worlds, the fastest way to find these blocks would still probably be searching for a Jungle, but since the wandering trader sells saplings, superflat players would also be able to gain access to these rarer trades.

Curious on your thoughts!

The Wandering Trader was killed by Recinber because it didn’t have any jungle saplings.

FROM: IraTheCool
SUBJECT: Beacon Modifications

Hi, Pix, Joel, and Ulraf!

I was just listening to Episode 291 (Ominous Events) where you were discussing beacon effects. What if the new heavy core could be placed inside of a beacon, which could then become a “heavy beacon” with different effects?

Or maybe drop a “light core” item, that could create a kind of “inverse mace”, possibly bestowing the levitation effect on victims.

IraTheCool was killed by an ominous bogged wearing trimmed netherite armor.

Thank you to our Patrons!

Ulraf shares the process of bringing a new idea to the Minecraft team, and working towards making it a long-lasting addition of challenge, and fun… Especially if you stand near the edge.
