SUBJECT: Allay Override
Hello Jonny, and Joel.
I am a Bedrock player, and predominant builder by trade. In Episode 283 regarding building quality of life, you mentioned a great idea of a potential block that acts somewhat like a “spy cam”. What if you could take control of a tamed allay to have a different POV?
Maybe an allay that has been tamed by you could be “taken over” by your player, which would then be temporarily unmanned, so be careful! A block travel limit while operating allay would be set, with a block range limit counter appearing on screen when you are close to reaching the end of the range. I’m not sure how this would work mechanically as that is way out of my realm of understanding.
Let me know your thoughts!
Kumbaya Baby died of old age waiting for usable shaders to be added to bedrock.

Early Crafter
The server for the new Hermitcraft season has a number of Minecraft 1.21 Experimental Features available to players through data packs, including the crafter. Joel, and Jonny discuss the pros, and cons of adding some of these upcoming features to Minecraft ahead of their release later this year.
- No Trial Chambers (GitHub.com)
- A simple data pack that enables the Update 1.21 experimental features, but disables the trial chambers and breeze.
