    • Went to the Nether for the first time in Season 3, and spawned in a basalt delta, of all places.
      • The rest of the Nether bomes were near by however, and a Nether Fortress is in easy reach.
      • This season there are plans for a more structured Nether hub, which may involve cherry wood.
    • A skeleton XP farm has been built around the skeleton spawner found while caving last week, which means levels, and enchanting are now coming along at a reliable pace to match up with diamond tools, and armour progression.

SUBJECT: Moving Too Quickly?

Hey Pix and Joel!

I hope you’re both well! I’ve been playing Minecraft off, and on since 2012. Sometimes I miss the old basic days of Minecraft, without allays, pillagers or even anything in the water!

Do you guys think (like the real world) technology, and updates in Minecraft are happening too quickly? I feel like I learn about a new mob or game mechanic, get to grips with it, then more comes out! I’m worried about the Minecraft team burning out from the stress of keeping up with demand but also overloading a very classic game with too much ‘modern’ flare.

Thanks for much for a great podcast

SUBJECT: What Do We Want?

Hey Joel and Pix!

I’m a huge fan of the podcast! Y’all have helped me through many-a-day of work.

I am the owner of a long term Bedrock Edition realm, and I have been diving headlong into the new update. The new cherry trees have been a great addition to my Japanese temple-inspired base, and armor trims have proven to be a fun time to find, and equip. Bamboo wood has also been fun to farm, and mess around with in this new update.

However, one thing that I am already beginning to notice in this update is that I often forget what else I can do in it. In just a few hours, I felt as though I had discovered almost all that there was to discover. I’m certainly not complaining about the quality of this update, and not necessarily even about the quantity. I am simply wondering how often I will use the features that have been presented?

Although these new features will certainly add variety to my gameplay, I am not sure that they lend themselves to be sought out again and again, especially in a longterm world. However, I am not sure that this is even a problem. Oftentimes the Minecraft community will complain from receiving too little in an update, but also will complain if the items promised are then included just as described. This begs me to wonder: “What do we want?”

I can’t help but feel slightly underwhelmed by this update, but I am not sure that is a bad thing.

I would love to hear y’all’s thoughts on this.
