    • Two steps ahead, three steps back with the taiga hill mansion in Westhill.
      • Main hall hearth, chimney, and roof changes are an improvement.
      • The attempt to add rooms to the top floor, with dormers on the north side of the roof failed miserably.

  • Empires, Season 2
    • Working on building up the home base on Empires, which until now has essentially just been a hole in the wall.
    • The latest additions include a tower which houses two Nether portals, a gate house on the great bridge leading into the area, and a few roads to connect things.

SUBJECT: Creative Designing

Hi Pix, Joel, and Impulse,

I know that people tend to use build tutorials for various projects in Minecraft, from buildings to redstone farms. In the past you’ve talked about how you get inspiration for builds, and strategies for designing builds by yourself. However as a player that likes to do things himself, it is always hard for me to design redstone machines on my own.

How do you guys design redstone machines on your own? What are some tips for someone like me that would like to come up with my own designs?

Thanks for an awesome podcast!

Big Hippo didn’t die because he was in a creative single player world trying to make a piston door.

FROM: Rakdos42
SUBJECT: Being A Good Builder

Hi Johnny, Joel, and Impulse,

First time writer, long time listener, and avid fan of the show. I enjoy hearing about The Citadel and the long term projects. I am a working adult as well, with little time to play, so I try cramming a lot of Minecraft things into a single weekend. I often feel defeated when I scroll through YouTube or Twitter and see builders in impossible creative leagues I feel I will never reach.

How do you all feel comfortable with your builds and not compare your abilities with other creators?

Sincerely,

Rakdos42… who became paralyzed with indecision on a block palette, and signed off.

Thank you to our Patrons!

The Return of impulseSV

The last time Impulse was on The Spawn Chunks, Hermitcraft was in Season 6, content creation was still a part-time gig, and bees had yet to be introduced into the game. Now a full time Minecraft content creator, and celebrating the premiere of his new podcast, The Imp And Skizz Podcast with long-time friend Skizzleman, Impulse is back to talk about the latest Minecraft career milestones.
