SUBJECT: Waxing Copper and Axolotls

Hey Jonny and Joel!

Specifically to Jonny, who is a copper lover. As of right now, we can only wax copper when they are blocks. If they are slabs, stairs, you would not be able to wax them. This would be quite inconvenient for player if they forgot to wax the block before cutting it into slabs or stairs. Do you think Mojang should allow players to wax copper while it’s in the stairs and slabs state?

Another thing, in 1.17.1, a player can only find blue axolotls when breeding other axolotls, which is to balance bedrock and Java. Do you think Mojang should have made it so bedrock players can find wild blue axolotls, or keep it as of 1.17.1? I feel this change would make players go out to explore again to find the blue axolotl. I would love to hear your opinions.

This is all for now.

Cheers,

Rox

SUBJECT: Riding Goats

Hey Johnny and Joel,

I’ve recently started a new survival world for the 1.17 update. After finding some wild goats I stood next to them to see if they would ram into me. I stood for a good few minutes with them barely moving and I wondered if they could have a more interesting use.

After Mojang added the disappointing mechanic of llamas I felt like there was a missed opportunity to give goats a new interesting mechanic to differentiate them from other passive mobs. My idea for making goats more interesting would be to incorporate some sort of riding mechanic. Similar to horses, you could get goats with different speeds and maybe jump heights. The goat horn could also be used to make your goat speed up and run even faster. I think Mojang could also somehow incorporate ramming into this feature. I would like to hear your thoughts.

ItJustDirt drove their goat too fast.

Farming New Resources In Minecraft 1.17

Jonny and Joel discuss their experience, frustrations, and successes, attempting to collect and farm the new blocks and items released with The Caves & Cliffs Update: Part 1. Will hard to get items push custom crafting data packs to be more popular? How does waiting for the RNG of Minecraft to smile down upon you feel as a player hunting for specific resources? What is the game play balance between AFK farms and searching for resources the old fashioned way?
