Hey guys,

With the mountain biome and cave generation getting major changes in 1.17, I think there’s some potential for emerald ore to be changed in some way. It’s a very nice block, but aside from collecting the ore, introducing new players to villager trading, and some niche building uses, there’s not much to really do with emerald ore. You can get emeralds from it, but there are far more reliable sources of emeralds.

Do you guys think there’s something more Mojang can do with emerald ore? Or do you think it’s fine staying the way it is? Personally, I’m not sure right now where I stand on that.

Hi Joel and Pix,

I have a short question/observation with a lot of potential for discussion, so here it goes:  With the announcement of “wireless redstone” in the form of sculk sensors, a lot of more complex redstone machines, piston doors being what I have in mind, will become more simple and straightforward to build.

As someone who joined Minecraft a few weeks after 1.15 came out, I never experienced a world without observers or comparators. These seem to make redstone much easier to use for the average user, and I was wondering what other features, when added, completely revolutionized an aspect of the game.

Two examples that I hear often on the show is elytra for fast travel, as well as shulker boxes for storage. These are once again things that I take for granted as a newcomer; what are your thoughts?

Hi guys, patron and long time listener here.

With Bedrock Edition and Java Edition becoming ever closer, what feature from Bedrock would you love to have in Java? (Or visa versa)

For me, playing Bedrock, quasi-connectivity would be be a big one. (Or just redstone parity in general!)

It’s super frustrating seeing all these awesome farms and redstone contraptions that I can’t build.

I was Listening to Episode 104 where you were talking about Mojang adding nether biomes to Minecraft Dungeons. I think that there could be a nether and end portal that spawn maybe after you’ve defeated the Arch Illager on Adventure and Apocalypse difficulty that could bring you to a new DLC-like area. Do you think this is a good idea?

Hi, Joel and Jonny,

Big fan of the podcast (and a Landscape Artist for your Patreon), I was wondering what you guys think about ”keep inventory”. As a Bedrock Edition player and someone who’s terrible at PvP, I hate the struggle of having to go and get my stuff from wherever I die. The introduction of the piglin brute will make me want to go bastions even less since the only unique thing there is gilded Blackstone which is pretty ugly. I know Xisumavoid says he wishes he could play with keep inventory on. 

So do you guys also want to use keep inventory? I know Jonny doesn’t play on a server but maybe on The Survival Guide?
