SUBJECT: Minecraft Dungeons Blacksmith Enchantments
Hey guys,
So I’ve been a huge fan of Minecraft Dungeons so far, and have emailed the show in the past about my desire for the ability to remove enchantments from gear, to allow players to try different things without needing to commit permanently to an item or scrap it.
This is now a thing with the Creeping Winter update, and I’ve seen absolutely nobody talk about it yet. (To be fair, my only interaction with the playerbase is the Spawn Chunks Discord.)
When you give the blacksmith an item to be upgraded, not only does he reroll the item’s power when you get it back, but he also strips the enchantments from it when you give it to him, and I love this so much! I’ve enchanted a few items now to try them out, and then given them to the blacksmith so I can get those enchantment points back and try something else. And when I get the upgraded item back, I can even try different enchantments on it. Of course, there is a downside to this. When you get the item back from the blacksmith, its power level is randomised, so it could come back lower than it was before, (Not much lower, of course, but still lower.) which makes it a bit of a gamble.
What do you guys think of this feature?
I’m loving it.
Stay chunky y’all!
