RE: Minecraft Earth Feedback from New Zealand.
Hey Pix and Joel!
I live in NZ so I now have Minecraft Earth (still in early access) and I have to say I enjoy it quite a bit. The AR looks very good, and I like how it makes you walk around and exercise to get resources.
However, I would like some changes.
I was playing in the car as a passenger, and the game lets me confirm that with a popup message. However, even then, it wouldn’t let me acquire tappables. Since I’m only in high school and my parents don’t supply me with a lot of data regularly (I was using my dad’s personal hotspot in the car) I have very little chances to acquire a lot of tappables. I wish there was a way for me to get tappables as a passenger in a car.
Another bit of feedback: why does crafting have a timer on it? Smelting should have a timer, to stay true to the core game, but in my opinion it takes too long to craft things. For example, I wanted to convert 19 birch wood into planks so I could build with them, but I had to wait 10 minutes. Frankly, I don’t understand why crafting needs a timer at all, since it doesn’t have one in the main game. It seems to me like it might lead to people buying resources through microtransactions, similar to Clash of Clans.
But, if the timer must remain, I feel that the time to craft things should at least be reduced. Other than that, as I said before the game is very enjoyable and fun.
Yours Sincerely,
